Logs to Lumber

Several of the gorgeous old eucalyptus trees on the property of the Rustic Canyon Residence project had to be cut down in order to make the site buildable. To honor these trees they were milled on site into slabs that would later be used in specific elements of the house including the main entry doors, mantles, and built-in furniture.

The site is cleared and ready for construction to begin. In the distance the fallen eucalyptus logs are being processed into slabs.
